After grappling with infertility, Lara turns to a spiritual guide advocating acts of kindness to promote blessings. Lara dives headfirst into kindness, while a secret intervention helps catalyze her pregnancy journey, unleashing a chain of events filled with drama, exploitation, betrayals, and behavior that vacillates from fanatical giving and mercy to a radical quest for justice.
“Inconceivable” was initially developed in a writers’ group and further refined at The Experts Theater Company, within CreateTheater’s writers’ residency program. Directed by Jen Wineman, it was cast and underwent a week-long workshop in 2023. The play had two readings at the CreateTheater New Works Festival, where it won the award for Best Play.
